Sunscreen?� Check! Propane for the BBQ?... Check! Tickets for Chuck & Albert?... Hey, Summer wouldn�t be complete without an evening with PEI�s Acadian ambassadors, Chuck & Albert, would it? Don�t worry, starting this weekend, you will have plenty of opportunity to catch the boys in action! The Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside plays host to Chuck & Albert on Wednesdays in July and August, and festivals in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and in Butte, Montana will keep fans laughing and tapping and clapping in the warm summer air. This weekend, Chuck & Albert will be travelling to Butte, Montana for the 71st National Folk Festival. First presented in 1934, the National Folk Fest is the oldest multicultural festival in the USA. Some of the performers to share the stage this year with Chuck & Albert are BeauSoleil from Louisiana, Thomas Mapfumo & the Blacks Unlimited from Zimbabwe and Blues legends Magic Slim & The Teardrops from Chicago. �We played with some of these people at The Old Songs and American Folk Festivals last summer, so we can�t wait to showcase some of the new music and fun we�ve been working on!�, says Albert. The duo then takes to the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside, PEI, starting July 15th and continuing for 6 Wednesdays into August. �We had a lot of fun performing as part of the French Toast show these past two summers, but to get the chance to do a full 2-hour show for the hometown crowd is always something to get excited about!�, Chuck said in a recent interview. �Yeah, performing at festivals is always cool because they are usually people that are seeing you for the first time, but when you get in front of the hometown crowd, it always helps you panic� I mean get excited� adds Albert. In August, Chuck & Albert will also be playing festivals in each of the Maritime provinces before wrapping up their summer schedule with a performance in Quebec City. You can catch the pair at the Festival de l�Escaouette in Cheticamp, NS (August 1st), le Festival Acadien de Caraquet, in Caraquet, NB (August 9th) and Celebration 2009 in Souris, PEI on August 15th, the Acadian National Holiday.
