Winter First tour of NB – 6 shows Nominated for DVD of the Year 2007 ECMA’s and participated in their Francophone showcase. SRC Radio Canada interview: “Anne et Compagnie” Participated in Contact Alberta Showcase in Red Deer, AB. First Manitoba performance (St. Laurent - Festival Manipogo) First Saskatchewan Performances (Kinsmen Telemiracle- Saskatoon) Released 2007 bilingual poster and re-released their DVD with bilingual menu.
Spring Performed first International tour (North of England) Collaborated with the PEI Council of the Arts and the Société- Éducatif to produce “Kids Corner” an online educational tool for students & teachers. Developed the online press kit/booking tool “The Presenters Corner” to streamline promotions and contracts. Received 2 nominations for Les Prix Éloizes (Show of the Year / Breakthrough Artist of the Year) and performed on the live television broadcast for Radio-Canada as part of the event.
Summer Featured in the Travel book “Prince Edward Island Book of Everything” Performed to capacity crowds hosting the Jubilee Theatre production “French Toast 2007” and Acadian day celebrations in Souris. Performed first tour of Quebec (10 performances) Web-integration of new flash video player able to stream/play any type of video and released Daniel Arsenault’s 3-minute school showcase video.
Fall Performed in our first International festival (Les Virées Francophone – La Glacerie, France) Showcased at Contact East in Liverpool, NS timed with the release of our 2007/08 Press kit/Showcase booklet Nominated for a National Small Business Award “Lauriers de la PME” Chuck & Albert featured in the Atlantic business magazine “Progress” Performed second International tour– English midlands.
2007 also allowed the boys the good fortune of working and performing with some great local and international talent: Manitoba filmmaker Laurence Veron, Quebec entertainers Pierre Chartrand & Mario Chenart, fiddlers Jocelyn Bourque, Anastasia DesRoches, Richard Wood along with musical groups The Celtic Ladies, Blue Bayou, Les Tappageuses, Chiquesa, and Quebec photographer, Pierre LaRue . The pair also had the privilege in 2007 of fundraising for some very worthy local causes, notably the Centre of Performing Arts in Chuck’s hometown of Montague and Eastlink Television’s QEH2 equipment drive.
