Telemiracle a huge success!

Televisions and phone-lines came alive with donation after donation as generous people across the province of Saskatchewan and Canada donated over 5.6 million dollars during the live event held from 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2007. The Kinsman Association hosts the annual event to raise funds and awareness for people with special needs and those that require assistance accessing medical treatment. Chuck and Albert had the great honor to participate and perform throughout the 20 hours along with LISA BROKOP, CONNIE KALDOR, AARON LINES, JOHNNY REID, AMY SKY, BOB McGRATH, BEVERLEY MAHOOD and Saskatchewan’s own BRAD JOHNER, TYLER LEWIS, KYLE RIABKO, CARRIE CATHERINE and SHELDON BERGSTROM."It was an incredible event. Top-notch from the organisers through to the volunteers that made the time pass so quickly. A heck of a good time!" said Chuck It was the culmination weeks of fundraising leading up to the seven days before the telethon now officially declared as Telemiracle Week by the provincial legislature. On May 19th, 2006, the Telemiracle Act was passed by the members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan and received Royal Assent by Her Hon. Dr. Lynda Haverstock. “Telemiracle brings out the best of Saskatchewan – it highlights the strength of our volunteer sector, the generosity of our people and the depth of care for those who need our help. said Elwin Hermanson, the member for Rosetown-Elrose. Albert agrees, "It was great to see and hear the national and local cast perform, but the amazing part was meeting and laughing with volunteers of all ages. Good people out here!"
